Ragi Poha (Finger Millet flakes) - Healthy Breakfast Recipe

Ragi poha recipe (Serves 2 people)

Ingredients

Ragi Poha – 2 medium bowls (roughly 100 gm) – we use Motherkart Ragi Poha

1 medium onion – chopped

1 capsicum – chopped

Raw Peanuts – 2-3 teaspoons (as per preference)

1 green chilli chopped (optional)

Curry leaves

2 Tablespoon mustard oil

Salt & other spices as needed

Lemon juice as per taste

Coriander for garnishing

No tomato – as it makes the poha soggy

 

Steps:

 

  1. Wash the poha in a strainer and keep it in a plate or Bowl
  2. Heat the oil in a Kadhai with some Rai dana (mustard seeds)
  3. Fry the peanuts till golden brown
  4. Fry the onion till deep pink
  5. Add Capsicum, green chilli, salt, red chilli( If you want) & stir a bit
  6. Cover it for a couple of minutes & let it stew, so that it becomes tender.
  7. Add the Poha & stir fry for a couple of minutes
  8. Add the peanuts & stir fo couple more minutes
  9. Add lemon juice, garnish with coriander

 

And its ready. Serve with love!
